'Mindscapes' in Voc, Hasselt
Mindscapes are landscapes born from the artist’s subconscious — imagined, dreamlike terrains woven with fragments of reality. The work emerges through the paint itself and the act of painting, resulting in desolate vistas that carry a primal form. There are no trees, shrubs, plants, or flowers — only essence, dream, fantasy, reality, and everything in between.
These landscapes resist singular meaning. The viewer recognizes, experiences, and interprets them through their own lens. Guided by dreams, imagination, and reality, the viewer constructs their own landscape — their own mindscape.
