From Research Group to Limburg School
What began in the early 1970s as the avant-garde Research Group soon grew into the Limburg School, uniting pioneering artists such as Piet Stockmans, Urbain Mulkers and Hugo Duchateau. Their mission: to push boundaries and join the international currents of pop art, conceptual art and nouveau réalisme.
This exhibition at CC Maasmechelen brings their radical beginnings into dialogue with their most recent work, tracing fifty years of artistic evolution.
